Moor Park Farm Aboretum & Tree Trail

Moor Park Farm & Bramble Beck Caravan Park owner Paul Swainson has always had a great love of trees since his childhood. With funding from the Rural Enterprise Scheme he has created an aboretum and tree trail, not only to give something back to agriculture and nature but also giving something to the local community that can be appreciated and enjoyed for generations to come.

The tree trail starts at the Bird of Prey centre and it takes on average an hour to complete the full trail, although there are some short cuts for a smaller walk. The trail takes you through the aboretum, which consists of over 150 different species of trees, including some rare varities not usualy seen in this country such as Zelkovia from Russia and Cyprus Oak.

The trail however has a lot more to offer than just trees. There is an abundance of wildflowers, birds and animals. If you are lucky you could see red squirrels, hares, buzzards, lapwings and curlews amongst other things.

We respectfully ask that dogs are not taken on the trail as they can upset cattle.
